Living in… Nou Llevant, the essence of the Mediterranean in Palma de Majorca.

As we announced a few weeks ago, Gestilar, the property developer, is landing in Palma de Majorca, the chosen location for the construction of our new project: 3 sites in the regenerated area of Nou Llevant, where 400 new homes will be built with gardens, terraces, generous communal areas, and a swimming pool. This promotion is aimed mainly at Majorca residents who want to move house or those who are looking to acquire a second home in a seaside area. Would you like to discover the area’s secrets with us?

The sea, part of your home

If there is one thing that stands out in this new promotion it is without doubt its exclusive location, just 500 metres from the beach and the well-known port of Portixol. At the port you will find a wide variety of establishments offering the best gastronomical and leisure facilities, as well as being surrounded by sports installations where you can practise outdoor sports such as tennis, padel tennis, or football, as well as parks such Krekovic Park or Can Palou Park.

The seafront promenade links this port to the neighbouring port of Majorca, which sits at the feet of its emblematic cathedral, the nerve-centre of the island. Can you imagine the spectacular views, both day and night?

Thus the proximity of the new Gestilar development to the old quarter of the city will make living in Nou Llevant the perfect combination, where you can enjoy both the coast and the most traditional and touristy streets of Majorca.

How do I get around?

Whether travelling around the city or beyond, you have numerous options:

  • Majorca Airport is just 10 minutes away by car from the new Gestilar development, easily accessible via the M19 Levante Motorway. There is also a bus service, with route 1 linking the two places directly in less than half an hour.
  • As for getting around the island by public transport, there are many bus routes that pass nearby given how close it is to the centre, and in particular route 6, which goes as far as the well-known Son Espases Hospital, and route 12, which goes as far as the Sa Garriga area in the centre of Palma.
  • Meanwhile, the two metro lines stop about a 10 minutes’ walk away from the Nou Llevant area: fast and convenient!

The future of Nou Llevant

In a statement made recently by the director of Urban Planning at the Palma Town Council, there was reference to the great potential of the area, which will be based on the concept known as ‘urban development of proximity’, given that it is a residential, business, and services area all in one, making it a dynamic and benchmark area of the island.
